Clipiao is a free Gyazo alternative for Windows: press a shortcut, drag a box around part of your screen, and a link to the clip or screenshot is copied the moment you finish. Free clips can be up to 1 minute long at 60 FPS, and the links play right inside Discord.

Why people are looking for a Gyazo alternative

On September 11, 2026, an attacker got into Gyazo's image upload server and reached its database. Helpfeel, the company behind Gyazo, says about 23.6 million user records were taken, including names, email addresses, password hashes and sign-in tokens. Metadata for about 490 million images was taken too, mostly for images from 2019 or earlier: image IDs that can rebuild image links, the IP address each image was uploaded from, location data from photos, and text read from images. Helpfeel says no payment card data was taken and it has not confirmed that any image files were.

As of September 24, 2026, Gyazo is temporarily suspended, with no date for its return. If you used your Gyazo password on any other site, change it there.

Where Gyazo is still ahead

Gyazo has phone apps and browser extensions, a Replay mode that keeps the last few seconds of your screen, text recognition and password-protected captures on Pro, and plans for teams. Clipiao is a desktop app for Windows and doesn't do those things.

How Clipiao keeps your links private

Clip links are long and random, and they aren't listed or searchable anywhere.
Links aren't stored in readable form, so a copy of our database alone doesn't reveal them.
We don't store IP addresses with your account or your clips.
Deleting a clip removes it everywhere, including cached copies.
