Snipping Tool comes with Windows, and on Windows 11 it can record part of your screen with your computer's sound and microphone, but it saves a video file you then have to send. Clipiao records the same way and copies a link as soon as you finish, which plays right in Discord and works on Windows 10 too.

Can Snipping Tool record video?
On Windows 11, yes: switch to Record, click New and drag an area. On Windows 10, Snipping Tool only takes screenshots.
Where does Snipping Tool save recordings?
The recording opens in Snipping Tool, and you choose where to save it or share it through the Windows Share menu. Clipiao doesn't save a file: it copies a link.
Does Clipiao need Windows 11?
No. Clipiao runs on Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) and Windows 11.
